Why have a fertility scan?
Ultrasound is a key diagnostic tool for fertility. It can be used to rule out structural abnormalities such as fibroids or cysts prior to trying to get pregnant or prior to starting fertility treatment. It is also used to track follicles and the thickness of the lining of your uterus.
